Privacy Policy for Santosha YouTube Comment Moderation

This policy explains how the Santosha YouTube Comment Moderation tool handles information when it is authorized by the owner of the Santosha Tantra YouTube channel.

WHAT THE TOOL DOES

The tool uses YouTube API Services to read comments and their moderation status on the Santosha Tantra channel, evaluate them under the channel owner’s moderation rules, and take moderation actions. Depending on the decision, the tool may leave a comment published, publish an acceptable comment from a review or likely-spam queue, or reject a comment and prevent its author from commenting on the channel.

INFORMATION ACCESSED AND USED

With the channel owner’s Google authorization, the tool accesses comment text and the limited YouTube information needed to identify and safely moderate each comment. This may include comment identifiers, timestamps, moderation status, parent-comment information, channel identifiers, and the commenter’s channel identifier.

Comment text is sent to the OpenAI API solely to determine whether it meets the channel owner’s moderation rules. The tool does not send commenter names or handles to OpenAI and does not use comment information for advertising, marketing, profiling, or unrelated purposes.

INFORMATION STORED

The tool does not retain comment text, commenter names or handles, commenter channel identifiers, or the model’s explanation for a moderation decision in its persistent audit database.

For reliability and security, it retains only a limited audit record: the YouTube comment identifier, a one-way hash of the comment text, relevant timestamps and moderation status, the action taken, and the API result. These audit records are automatically deleted within 29 days.

The Google authorization token needed to operate the connection is stored as a restricted hosting secret and encrypted at rest.

SHARING AND DISCLOSURE

Santosha Tantra does not sell, rent, or provide Google or YouTube user data to others for advertising, marketing, profiling, or data-brokerage purposes.

Google and YouTube provide the channel data, OpenAI processes comment text for classification, and Railway hosts the moderation tool. Each provider processes information under its applicable terms and privacy policy. Information may also be disclosed when required by law.

SECURITY

Information is protected in transit using encrypted connections. Access credentials are stored in restricted hosting secrets, access to the tool is limited, and comment content is not retained in the tool’s audit database after processing.

REVOCATION AND DELETION

The channel owner may revoke the tool’s Google access at any time through Google Account third-party connections. Revocation prevents the tool from obtaining new channel data.

To request deletion of the stored authorization token and any remaining audit records, contact premtantra1@gmail.com. Deletion requests will be completed as soon as practicable and no later than seven calendar days after receipt.

GOOGLE AND YOUTUBE POLICIES

This tool uses YouTube API Services. Use of YouTube is governed by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google’s handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Our use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

OpenAI’s handling of information is described in the OpenAI Privacy Policy.

CHANGES

This policy will be updated before the tool uses Google or YouTube information in any materially different way. The effective date above identifies the latest revision.
