The Dilemma of Worship
The Dilemma of Worship
Inside myself there is only You
Outside myself – there again, there is only You
You are all there is to be seen
You are all there is to be recognized
I play a game; my game is that you are my deepest friend
I confide in you about my loves and thank you for the beauty that is
everywhere – that is only always You
I like this game of your friendship
It does not make me feel separate from You
It makes me feel so close to You
I feel that this feigned pretend separation is our natural game so the
Great One that is everything and Nothing can enjoy through this game
of intimacy what life has to offer.
I love being a character in your Play of Plays.
You always give me juicy roles and when the play acting is over we
share in the enjoyment of what is and can be
What a vivid imagination You have!
All this creativity of creation, it all comes from You
What a wonderful dilemma of worship
You play all the parts but allow a pretend sense of separation so I can do
my ‘part’ and share my love and learning with You
You give me everything I need
Indeed! You have given me your very Self
You are Me!
You are my best friend, too.
You are so much an enjoyment,
I feel so much gratitude, thank you for this dilemma in worship.
