makeover

I had a makeover I
took all my make-up off.
With the removal of each layer, I saw myself as I really
am. I felt myself without any pretense.
I washed off the eye (I) shadow and saw I was the light
source. I
scrubbed away the mask-cara and my face was my own.
I rubbed off the (I) eyeliner and delineation of self
dissolved. I
smeared off the lipstick and my mouth opened freely,
speaking words of adoration of the Self.
I swabbed away the rouge on my cheeks and felt that my
passion was already alive and natural.
I washed off the layer of artificial paint; the foundation of
the make-up and saw myself as I really am: natural,
already beautiful, without having to pretend to be
beautiful.
I had a makeover. I
took all my make-up off.
