God is an understanding
Not a daddy man residing apart
Secure in a beautiful fantasy realm
He is not a He with the biggest dick and balls
He is not a She with mother to nurturing concerns
God is not a point of view of maker of creation or redeemer of sin
God is an understanding

God is not a word that can call up an image
When I imagine God I see no face except what artist have drawn and painted of God
What if they had used their own faces as models or that of their neighbors?
How to believe in symbols over actual imagery?
So how do I imagine God
When I try to call up an image?
I always leave the face a little blurry like a lover in one’s private sexual fantasies

What am I trying to say by writing this nonsense?
How is god personal?
How do we see God personally?
As a image a symbol?
What is God as understanding?

God oh God where can you be
What do you look like and what do you do?
What do you know that I need to know?
What do you know about me?

And then there is the question does God exist?
What do you mean... ...exist as what?
as Man?
as Woman?
Bug? Animal? Rock, Trees, Planet, Energy, Space?
See these things exist and if they exist are they apart from God?
Is God only like a man set apart in some invisible realm for some purpose only God understands
Does God understand?
What does God understand?

Do I need God?
What do I need God for?
To live forever as a body and never die?
To give me only enjoyment and no suffering?
To make me perfect, never making mistakes, never learning always knowing

Do we perceive God as ourselves? In our image?
Please excuse, not my image a He image
Why do we make God into a He image and then blame God for all our suffering
Why do we make God into a He image and the worship him?
So we can worship the he man? And blame the He man?
When will we understand each other?
When will we understand that God is an understanding we can all share?
