Again I come
Again I come
Again it's the same
the old tradition prevails
BUT in a most degrading way.
I take on everything for you—
Your pains, your hurts, your flesh and bones
And again this time--like so many other times
You curse me for loving you.
Yes, I can feel everything for you
I am so full of you
I am sick, diseased and demented
No loving arms beckon me forth
Duty, niceness, conventionality and arrogance--
CURSE me
What madness to love in a world such as this
I'm weary before I've begun
Couldn't you flash a smile for yourSELF?
